SouthPeak was founded in 2010 and is 100% owned by its directors and staff. Our team has significant experience in financial markets and derivatives markets in particular.
Using our specialist skills, gathered over a range of market cycles and environments, we aim to create better investment solutions for our clients.
Paul’s previous roles include CEO of AXA Japan, director of AXA Asia-Pacific and the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia, chairman of National Mutual Funds Management, NobleOak Life Limited, ACE Insurance Ltd and ACE Australia Holdings Pty Ltd.
Mattias has been managing volatility and other derivatives strategies at SouthPeak for more than a decade. Prior to this, Mattias worked in a range of roles across asset classes at top tier investment banks in Sydney and London. Mattias has a Masters of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Linkoping and is a CFA charterholder.
Zac has been managing volatility and other derivatives strategies at SouthPeak for more than a decade. Zac’s previous experience focused on solutions in portfolio efficiency and risk management across equities, interest rates, credit, alternative assets, inflation and longevity, working in investment banking and actuarial consulting in Australia and Asia. Zac is a Monbusho Scholar and completed a Bachelor of Economics from Kobe University in Japanese.
Paddy has been a core part of the SouthPeak team for more than a decade and is responsible for SouthPeak’s quantitative infrastructure and systems, as well as strategy modelling. Prior to SouthPeak, he provided actuarial, risk management, M&A and strategic consulting services to financial services firms, including valuations, asset/liability management and product design, where he was based in Sydney, Hong Kong, Amsterdam and Tokyo. Paddy is a Monbusho Scholar and completed a Bachelor of Economics from Kobe University in Japanese, and is a CFA charterholder.
Archie is an analyst at SouthPeak, focused on quantitative analysis and coding, and assist in developing and maintaining the firm’s automated processes. Prior to SouthPeak, he worked at an options market making firm, undertaking research and modelling of option trading strategies. Archie has a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Majoring in Telecommunications and Electrical) with Honors from the Australian National University, Canberra.
